Through the Future Marine Research Infrastructure (FMRI) programme, NERC seeks to develop and deliver a research infrastructure that enables the UK’s marine science aspirations and ambitions.

The FMRI Science Requirements Framework will capture and present information to inform programme decisions. A series of Roadshow workshops and other events will provide the science community with the opportunity to contribute to identifying the requirements for sustained, experimental and discovery capabilities to support marine science in 2040.

Each workshop will iterate the draft Science Requirements Framework ready for community review of a full draft from Oct’24 – Mar’25. We are currently recruiting Grand Challenge Champions who can lead these conversations. Apply by 29th March: Role Description & Application Form
