A new dataset about the ocean’s role in storing carbon has been released.

Published on Zenodo, the finalised GLOBESINK flux and particle size climatology provides a comprehensive, observation-based picture of how sinking particles transport carbon from surface waters to the deep ocean.

The dataset is expected to support improved climate modelling and a wide range of research, from biogeochemistry to marine ecosystems.
